High Country Detailing Customer App

The High Country Detailing Customer App may collect and use your name, email address, verified Australian mobile number, optional address, account identifiers, device or push-notification identifier, vehicle and registration details, booking and purchase history, invoices, service records, messages, support requests, approvals, communication preferences, rewards, gift-card information, HCD Balance information, and photos or other content you choose to provide.

We use this information to authenticate and secure your account, provide bookings and physical vehicle-detailing services, show service progress and account history, process customer decisions, deliver operational notifications, provide support, and maintain our business and financial records. Sign in with Apple may provide an Apple private relay email address. A mobile verification code confirms your contact number only; it is not used as a sign-in or account-recovery credential.

Where you have agreed to receive HCD marketing, we use your name, email address or mobile number to send communications from High Country Detailing. We also use your customer account identifier, booking and purchase history, and communication preferences to determine which HCD offers or reminders are relevant and whether you are eligible to receive them. These details are linked to your customer account. You can withdraw your marketing permission using the unsubscribe options provided with our communications or your available account preferences. Operational messages about an existing booking, payment or account are separate from marketing.

These uses are for High Country Detailing’s own communications. The inspected HCD Garage app does not use this information to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

Vehicle Photos and Representative Images

Vehicle photos you upload may be resized and stored in our secured WordPress Media Library against a vehicle, quote or booking that belongs to your account.

If you ask us to create a representative vehicle image, we may send limited vehicle descriptors—such as year, make, model, variant, colour and body type—from the HCD server to our artificial-intelligence image service provider, OpenAI. We do not include the vehicle registration, your name, contact details, booking notes or payment details in that request. The generated image is illustrative and may not reproduce exact trim, accessories, condition or modifications. You may instead upload your own vehicle photo.

HCD Balance, Gift Cards and Apple Wallet

HCD Balance is closed-loop account credit for eligible goods and physical services supplied by High Country Detailing. Square processes an authorised top-up payment, after which High Country Detailing records the confirmed amount in its own account-credit ledger. HCD Balance is not a bank account, is not a Square gift card, cannot be transferred between customers and cannot be withdrawn as cash except where required by law.

Custom HCD gift cards remain separate and retain their own codes, balances and conditions. An Apple Wallet pass may display current HCD Balance, gift-card or rewards information, but the HCD server record remains authoritative. The pass is not a general-purpose payment card. HCD Balance spending uses a short-lived, single-use customer-approved code for a chosen maximum amount.

Account Deletion

You may request deletion from within the Customer App. We revoke active app sessions and begin an auditable deletion process. We may retain bookings, invoices, payments, refunds and other records where required for taxation, fraud prevention, dispute handling or other legal and business obligations. You may also contact us through the secure contact form for access, correction or deletion enquiries.

HCD Garage Payment SDK

HCD Garage uses Square’s In-App Payments SDK for secure card entry and Apple Pay. Square processes payment information and may collect account and device identifiers, interactions with its payment components, and crash information. Square uses the declared account and device identifiers and payment-component interactions for analytics, and payment and crash information to provide and maintain payment functionality. These SDK data types are linked to identity in Square’s privacy declaration and are not declared as being used to track customers across other companies’ apps or websites.

Customer App Deletion Requests

You can request deletion in HCD Garage through Account → Sign-In & Security → Delete Account. High Country Detailing handles deletion requests at [email protected] and will complete the process within 14 calendar days. The app signs you out after an accepted request and keeps a private receipt on that device so you can check its status without signing in again. An accepted request is not a statement that deletion has already finished. Any records that must be retained remain subject to the retention provisions in this policy.
