About High Country Detailing
More than detailing. A lifetime around cars.
I have spent more than two decades working on everything from everyday family vehicles to some of the world’s most prestigious cars. High Country Detailing is the result of that journey.
My Story
It started with washing Dad’s car.
Cars have been part of my life for as long as I can remember.
Some of my earliest memories are of washing my father’s car when I was about eight years old. Even then, I was fascinated by vehicles. I could often tell what kind of car was approaching at night simply by recognising its headlights.
That passion naturally became a career.
At eighteen, I began working for vehicle dealerships and professional detailing workshops across the Gold Coast. Those early years gave me the opportunity to learn the trade properly, build my skills and work on a wide range of vehicles.
Several years later, I was given an opportunity that very few detailers ever experience.

Aston Martin Gold Coast
Working at the highest level.
At twenty-five, I joined Aston Martin Gold Coast, which at the time was Queensland’s only Aston Martin dealership.
During my time there, I was trusted with the preparation, correction and presentation of vehicles worth hundreds of thousands—and in some cases millions—of dollars.
At the peak of my employment, I was responsible for looking after some truly exceptional vehicles. Working at that level taught me something that has stayed with me throughout my career: there are no shortcuts when the standard is genuinely high.
Every panel, surface and finish has to be right. The work must be careful, consistent and worthy of the vehicle being entrusted to you.
While confidentiality means I cannot discuss many of the clients we worked with, I can say that one customer later became one of Australia’s Prime Ministers.
It was a privilege to work with people and vehicles where the expectations were at the absolute highest level.
The Next Chapter
From Jindabyne to High Country Detailing.
After finishing at Aston Martin, I moved south to Jindabyne, where life slowed down for a while and I semi-retired from the industry.
Once I had children, I wanted to get back into work and build something of my own. That led to the creation of High Country Detailing in Mansfield.
The business grew quickly. We built a strong customer base, developed a reputation for quality work and eventually outgrew the space we were operating from.
That growth led to the decision to relocate High Country Detailing to Shepparton, where the business could continue to develop and serve a much larger regional community.
High Country Detailing Today
A trusted local business in the Goulburn Valley.
Today, High Country Detailing operates from a dedicated workshop in Shepparton and looks after vehicles from across the Goulburn Valley.
Looking back, I feel incredibly fortunate to have spent my career working on everything from everyday family cars through to some of the world’s most prestigious vehicles.
That experience still shapes how I approach every job today. A car does not need to be rare or expensive to deserve proper care. For the person who owns it, it may be their daily transport, their pride and joy, their work vehicle or one of their biggest investments.
Every customer deals directly with me from the first conversation through to the final handover. That means the advice, the work and the finished result remain personal.
I am humbled by how far the business has come and grateful for the trust customers continue to place in High Country Detailing.
The Local Industry
Competition does not have to mean conflict.
I am also grateful for the relationships I have built within the detailing industry.
Shepparton has some talented and passionate people working in vehicle care, and I am proud to call several of them—including competitors—good friends.
I believe a strong local industry is built when people respect one another, share knowledge and remain focused on doing the right thing by their customers.
What You Can Expect
Personal service. Honest advice. Careful workmanship.
Honest Advice
I will recommend what your vehicle genuinely needs, not simply the most expensive option available.
Workshop Based
Every vehicle is worked on inside our dedicated Shepparton workshop, where the environment and process can be properly controlled.
Attention to Detail
The small details matter. They are often what separates an average result from one that feels properly finished.
Personal Service
You deal directly with the owner from the first enquiry through to the final handover of your vehicle.
The Philosophy
Treat every vehicle with care. Take pride in the workmanship. Always leave it better than you found it.
That philosophy started when I was an eight-year-old washing my father’s car, and it still guides the way I work today.
High Country Detailing
I would be honoured to look after your vehicle.
Whether you are booking your first detail, looking to improve your paintwork or want ongoing care for your vehicle, I would appreciate the opportunity to earn your trust.
